When one of the causes of infertility is related to the absence of sperm in men (eg for chemotherapy, radiotherapy or other diseases) or in situations where there are hereditary diseases, there may be an indication for a treatment with donor sperm.
All sperm donors registered at Ferticentro's sperm bank have undergone a series of prior examinations to ensure maximum safety in the process. To be a donor at Ferticentro, the man must be between 18 and 45 years old, be healthy and without a clinical history of sexually transmitted diseases, hereditary or other diseases.
At Ferticentro, donor candidates undergo an extensive set of clinical and genetic analyzes prior to donation, with some of these analyzes (related to viral markers of infections) repeated 6 months after donation. During this time, the sperm samples are kept in quarentine.
